CHARITY PARTNERSHIP

MINEHEAD AFC ANNOUNCE CHARITY PARTNERSHIP WITH THE CHILDRENS SOCIETY

Minehead AFC are proud to announce that this season they will be in partnership with
The Children’s Society. The Minehead warm up shirts will carry the charity’s name on them and the club will be promoting and fundraising for the society throughout the season.

The objective is to create a society where children and young people are valued, respected and happy. The Children’s Society’s Regional Retail Manager for the South West Val Newbold said: “We are really pleased that Minehead AFC has teamed up with us to help promote the charity and raise funds for local projects.

We are committed to helping vulnerable children and disadvantaged young people, including children in care and young runaways. We give voice to disabled children and provide relief for young carers. Through our campaigns and research, we seek to influence policy and perceptions so that young people have a better chance in life.

MAFC Chairman Brian Walder commented “We strive to make ourselves as accessible to this sort of partnership as possible, and this particularly helps us to contribute towards the well-being of youngsters. We very much view the youth of the area as being the lifeblood of our town’s football club for the future”.
